Several Italian media outlets have already confirmed that Pioli will be sacked at the end of this season, while the successor has not been confirmed yet.

Pioli officially took over as Milan's head coach in October 2019. In his first full season in charge, he led the team to a league runner-up finish and returned to the Champions League after seven years. In the 2021/22 season, he successfully led Milan to their 19th top-flight league title.

However, Milan's performances in the last two seasons have been the reason for Pioli's dismissal, mainly due to two factors: a five-match losing streak in the Milan derby and a dismal defeat against Roma in the Europa League this season.
