Liverpool's Andy Robertson Faces Injury Setback During Scotland's Clash With Northern Ireland
Scotland captain and Liverpool defender, Andy Robertson, suffered an unsettling ankle injury during Scotland's friendly encounter against Northern Ireland. Despite Robertson attempting to carry on the game following a tough challenge by Trai Hume, his efforts proved futile as he ultimately had to be substituted just five minutes after his teammate Conor Bradley scored a decisive goal, resulting in Scotland's defeat.

Robertson had already endured a shoulder injury earlier this season that cost him to sit out 18 domestic matches across all contests. Following the incident, Scotland's manager, Steve Clarke, expressed sincere hopes that this incident does not add up to another long-term injury for Robertson, especially with the Euros only 11 weeks away.

The incident poses serious concerns not only for Scotland but also for Liverpool, given the intensified race for the Premier League title. Liverpool's upcoming games involve hosting Brighton and following that with an important fixture against Manchester United. These matches could suffer substantial impacts depending on Robertson's injury prognosis, which is yet to be assessed by club medics.
